What a blog title. Training in forgiveness? Do we really need to be trained in forgiveness?
Yes, is the short answer.
We received key training yesterday at Menorah Christian Center on covenant community, and at the heart of it is this:
Love is the key to the whole thing (covenant community). And love is sustained by ongoing forgiveness. Moving forward in risk, being willing to make mistakes and it's all bathed in forgiveness.
I couldn't help but think about my book, along with about 100 others that have been written on the topic of forgiveness, and how each of us needs to be reminded every day that to live in relationship with people means to live in ever-constant forgiveness.
